Refund Policy
We believe in fair and transparent refund practices for all our educational programs.

At Canada Tech School, we are committed to providing high-quality education and ensuring student satisfaction. We understand that circumstances may change, and we have established this refund policy to provide fair and reasonable options for students who need to withdraw from our programs.
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Full Refund (100%)
You are eligible for a full refund of tuition fees under the following circumstances:
- Withdrawal request submitted at least 14 days before the program start date
- Program cancellation by Canada Tech School
- Denial of visa for international students (with documentation)
- Documented medical emergency preventing program participation
Partial Refund
Partial refunds are available based on the timing of your withdrawal:
- 7-13 days before start date: 75% refund of tuition
- 1-6 days before start date: 50% refund of tuition
- Week 1 of program: 50% refund of tuition
- Week 2 of program: 25% refund of tuition
- After Week 2: No refund available
Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Application fee ($150 CAD)
- Registration fee ($500 CAD)
- Course materials already provided
- Third-party certification exam fees
2. Job Guarantee Refund
Canada Tech School offers a Job Guarantee for eligible programs. Under this guarantee:
- If you do not receive a qualifying job offer within 6 months of graduation, you may be eligible for a full tuition refund
- To qualify, you must complete all program requirements with a minimum 80% average
- You must actively participate in career services, including completing at least 10 job applications per week
- You must attend all scheduled interviews and career coaching sessions
- The guarantee applies only to graduates seeking employment in Canada

3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Submit a Written Request: Send an email to [email protected] with your full name, student ID, program name, and reason for withdrawal.
- Complete Withdrawal Form: Download and complete the official withdrawal form from your student portal.
- Return Materials: Return any physical course materials in good condition within 14 days.
- Schedule Exit Interview: Complete a brief exit interview with our student services team.
4. Refund Processing Time
Once your refund request is approved:
- Refunds are processed within 30 business days of approval
- Credit card refunds will be credited to the original card used for payment
- Bank transfers or cheques may take an additional 5-10 business days
- You will receive email confirmation when the refund is processed
5. Program Transfers
As an alternative to a refund, you may be eligible to transfer to a different program or cohort:
- One free transfer is permitted per enrollment
- Transfer requests must be made at least 7 days before your current program starts
- Any difference in tuition between programs will be charged or refunded accordingly
- Transfers are subject to availability in the requested program
6. Deferral Policy
If you need to delay your start date:
- You may defer your enrollment once to a future cohort within 12 months
- Deferral requests must be submitted at least 7 days before your original start date
- A $250 CAD deferral fee applies
- Your spot in the future cohort is not guaranteed until confirmed by admissions
7. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. The following situations may be considered for special refund arrangements:
- Serious illness or medical emergency (with documentation from a healthcare provider)
- Death in the immediate family
- Military deployment or relocation
- Significant change in employment circumstances
- Natural disasters or emergencies affecting your ability to participate
Requests for exceptions should be submitted in writing to our Student Services team with appropriate documentation.
8. Income Share Agreement (ISA) Refunds
If you enrolled using an Income Share Agreement:
- ISA obligations terminate if you withdraw before program completion
- Any payments already made under the ISA are non-refundable
- You may still be eligible for the Job Guarantee if you complete the program
- Specific terms are outlined in your ISA contract
9. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with a refund decision:
- Submit a written appeal to [email protected] within 30 days
- Include any supporting documentation for your case
- Our appeals committee will review and respond within 14 business days
- If not satisfied, you may contact the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of British Columbia
10. Changes to This Policy
Canada Tech School reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your enrollment will apply to your refund request.
